Recent fishing has been a little slow at times, but it can happen in the early December period. Looking towards January we should see pelagic's move in particularly after we get some low pressure systems come down. We certainly need some rain to get some bait moving along with some good south easterly trade wins. On the reefs golden trevally have been about with some great fish over a meter being landed. Queenfish have also been appearing along with longtail tuna, mac tuna, tea leaf trevally, cod, sweetlip and scarlets.

Big goldens down deep are always a good test for angler and gear.

Dave Yates took a break off the Cruise ship to get into some local reef fish.

Longtail tuna are also about.

We have dates available through January, if you are after some New Year fishing shoot us a email fishing@herveybaysportfishing.com.au and start the New Year off with some rod bending !

All the best and tight lines
