Well, last weekend saw another spell of great weather and most headed offshore again. Most areas produced some great fishing - some great reds, snapper and some big trout, sweetlip and big parrot.

Some of the bigger reefs produced some excellent pelagic fishing action. Those who did some jigging used mainly 150-250grm deep jigs and caught some big cod, black king, heaps of different trevally and yellowtail king.

The inshore reefs also produced some great fishing with some big grunter, snapper, red jew and some good grass sweetlip.

There's a good number of mackerel and tuna around the river mouth and a few tailor have also made their presence felt.

Some good whiting and flathead have been about in the rivers.

The barra and bass are moving about in Monduran. The big bass have been caught on Jackalls and Tropic Angler Shad Rattlers, and the barra have been very active in the warm shallow bays. Targeting them with shallow divers has been the best option.

Best breezes,
