The weather has been unpredictable this week and the offshore fishing has been slow due to bad weather, but the rivers and dams have been producing some great fish.

Some good catches of Jew, jack, cod and fingermark (NOT Moses perch) have been caught live-baiting the deeper holes. Mullet and prawns have been the best live baits. There's also some good numbers of bream, whiting and flathead being caught.

The dams have produced some great surface fishing for bass. Small dark-coloured poppers seem to be working the best.

Some excellent barra have been caught by throwing deep diving lures around the main basin of Monduran. Classic barra lures have been favourites and there's still a few barra coming out of the timber on shallow diving lures for those anglers who like casting.

Best breezes,
Tim Mulhall
