Weekly Report 7 Jul 13

Post by Brad » Fri Jul 05, 2013 1:38 pm

This week the weather around the Bundaberg area has been a bit too ordinary to head offshore, so the creeks and rivers have been our best chance to wet a line. The Kolan River has been fishing well with some tailor finally showing up in the new mouth. Plenty of big bream, flathead and grunter have also been caught.

The Burnett River is still fishing well, mainly with big bream around the rocks. Some salmon, both blue and king have been caught using Blade lures. The Elliott River is still turning on some red hot whiting sessions mainly on the night tides using yabbies as bait. Coonarr Beach has shown a few reports of dart, whiting and tailor. Most of the systems are still producing mud crabs and a sprinkling of prawns.
Till next time,
Tim Mulhall
