Well, we can't beat this weather, with another near-perfect week. Again, most anglers headed offshore and the fishing was great. Most landed good numbers of reefies with heaps of parrot, sweetlip and some good reds to 26lb. Also reported were some classy trout, big snapper and the list goes on. Plenty of mackerel, black king and dolphin fish also, to help fill the icebox.

The inshore reefs have also been producing well with some good sized sweeties, snapper and big grunter.

The Burnett has been fishing the best we've seen in a long time. The bream are big and thick and have been caught on everything including sprat, prawns, lures, you name it. Other species include tailor, trevally, queenfish, flathead and big whiting. Around the deeper holes in the rivers there has been a few jew, salmon and grunter.

As well, the bass are starting to fire up as things cool down. Surface lures early with Jackalls and spinnerbaits later in the day with a very slow retrieve have produced some top fishing.

Best breezes,
