Howdy all fishers from Stanage Bay
The Crabs are still potting in between mating and shedding their shells. There has not been many visitors here for quite awhile now, due to the weather / rain. The locals have been catching barra, salmon, grunter and fingermark. When the wind stopped and a couple of boats got out to the islands and reef, quite a mixed bag of reefies were caught, however none were weighed in. The road is open one minute and closed the next as to say, so please ring before you come up just to be sure, most creeks drop as the tide goes out, they creeks are influenced by the tide, whilst not actually tidal. If the rain abates long enough we will be having the usual fishing competition up here at Stanage Bay. Remember all profits made from it go to The rescue chopper, Flying doctors, Coastguard and Rural Fire.
Until next time just go fishing,
cheers Von Ireland
