LAND BASED
Very quite with little to report.

INSHORE
Blue swimmer crabs are in good numbers in many of the creeks around Townsville, including Crocy, Alligator and the Bohle. There are still a few mangrove jacks getting caught on lures and small poddy mullet.

The Bohle River has been producing some nice grunter to 60cm on the drift, using live prawns, with as little weight as possible. Earlier in the week the queenfish were also going off in the Bohle, on small soft plastics.

OFFSHORE & BAY
Nothing to report this week as a result of the weather and Coral Reef Fin Fish Closures.

SUGGESTED SPOTS THIS WEEKEND
It’s a hard one this week with not many reports, however if you don’t mind blue swimmer crabs (I love any crab for a feed) try setting a few pots over the sandy areas at the mouth of any of the local creeks. Blue swimmer crabs are also known as sand crabs - catch my drift.

Play Safe
