Weekly Report 17 Apr 14

Post by Brad » Thu Apr 17, 2014 7:36 am

The recent rain from Cyclone Ita should stir the crabs and prawns up for Easter. Let’s hope the fish play the game also.

Recently there has been some nice Mangrove Jack caught on both bait and lures. Many of the creeks that run into Bowling Green bay have been fishing quite well with good numbers of barra and jacks to found flicking lures around the snags towards the mouth of the creeks. There is also plenty of large mullet in these systems at the
moment so it might pay to use slightly larger lures to match the hatch. Easter is a great time to catch crabs and I can’t see this year being any different. The recent rain should also get the prawns moving. There is no better bait than freshly caught creek prawns and their not bad on the dinner plate to.

For this weeks Win News fish photos check out our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tackle-Wo ... 2082764595) . Sorry for the shortened version this week we will be back to the normal format next week. Hope you all have a great Easter and hope you get a chance to wet a line and catch
plenty of fish.
