Report 12/12/14

Post by subeditor » Fri Dec 12, 2014 11:37 am

This month the Tackle World Challenge is to catch a Fingermark (Nov & Dec).
Simply email your Fingermark photos to danny@tackleworldtownsville.com.au to be in the running for the one of two $250 Tackle World Tackle Pack.

THE ROUNDUP
It's really heating up and from all reports looking more likely that we will see a few storms this weekend which can make for some interesting fishing then it should turn into a great week next week with light winds forecast.

As it heats up most of the fish will get caught around the cooler times of the day early morning or late afternoon but there is one fish that doesn’t mind the heat and that’s the might mangrove jack. In particular they love a good storm and often really come on the bit big time when there are storms around. From all reports there has been some nice fish caught in recent weeks on both lures and bait with small live baits and strip baits working equally as well. When it comes to lures both hard body and soft plastics are working well. The prawn pattern soft plastics are always a favourite and do account for their fair share of fish.

With the official start of the School Holidays this weekend there should be plenty of opportunity in coming weeks to land a great fish or two.

Have a great weekend
