Report 28/10/15

Post by Nicole Penfold » Fri Nov 13, 2015 4:12 pm

It looks like the winds might be ok over the weekend around the 10 to 15 knots with seas around a metre so there could be some good fish caught bottom bashing the reefs.

The tides look good for chasing a few coral trout or lippers around the edges of the reef where the run is pushing most of the bait and the night tides should work for those fishing the deeper shoals in the passages between the reefs where the run is usually too strong. So it looks like it could be the best of both worlds for those fishing both the daylight and night time tides. In recent days there have been reports of good quality trout and lippers with trout around the 2kg common so it looks like there should be plenty of quality fish to chase this weekend. It could also be worth floating a pilchard or fusilier out the back for a Spanish mackerel.

Have a great weekend
