Hi everyone with only two weekend s before the Barra closure there is sure to be plenty of boats on the water all chasing the illusive barramundi.
In recent weeks there have been some good reports of Barra willing to take shallow diving minnows around the drains and gutters in most of the creeks in Cleveland bay. Jigging soft vibes and larger paddle tail soft plastics have also been accounting for their fair share of quality Barra with a few fingermark mixed in for good measure. Around the beaches the flathead catches are still quite good with 4 or 5 fish commonly reported in a few hour session casting soft plastics as the tide drops off the flats into the gutters and drains. The out-going tides have also been producing flathead in many of the sand bases creeks with slab baits and small lives working well.
Have a great weekend
