Report 13/4/17

Post by Nicole Penfold » Thu Apr 13, 2017 5:26 pm

It looks like the weather will be great over the Easter Break however the winds are likely to get up around the 15-20knots so if you are heading offshore makes sure you check the latest forecast.

As per the last few days I would expect the early mornings to be quite calm in the bay however the winds will increasing throughout the day. The tides look challenging over the next few days with little to no run so look for those areas that might form a bottle neck in the creek or river as these areas are most likely to hold the bait during these sorts of tides. Where there are bait fish the big ones should not be far away. There have been some good reports of grunter around the 50cm mark being caught in good numbers in the local creeks and some larger fish around Cape Cleveland and West Point of Maggie in recent days.

Stay safe over the Easter Break
