Well we just received 400mm of rain in a day which has brought fishing efforts to a halt. Local river systems are in flash flooding pouring fresh
water 20 mile out to sea. The winds are gusting up to 50 knots offshore and is a result of Cyclone Charlotte. Days ahead paint a similar picture.
Prior to this deluge the reef fished well for nannygai on occasions and our rivers were producing good mangrove jack and fingermark. It maybe some time before we see any decent fishing reports in the near future.
