Persistent strong winds have put a major dent in proceedings of late. 10 days straight have cancelled for offshore fishing so the rivers and creeks have been busy with mixed results. Mangrove jack, trevally, estuary cod, bream, grunter and the odd fingermark have been recorded. The deeper holes further upstream have seen the best action away from the dirty river and creek entrances where plenty of dirty ocean water is having an effect on the fishing. Hopefully we see some improvement shortly and get back into some blue water fishing which can be great at this time of year.
