13/10/05 Weekly Report

A few jacks moving in the river, mostly around the rocky points with Barneys Point best but still fish around Chinderah and Cobaki. Some nice whiting around the golf club and Seagulls. A few sand crabs and the odd mud crab for the trappers. School jew in the upper reaches and, further up, a nice lot of hungry bass.
Outside is a little quiet with the odd cobia, some nice snapper in close if you know what you’re doing, a few squire on the 30-fathom reefs and the charter boats are getting some big samson and mixed bottom fish. But things starting to slow up now the moon is bright. Nice parrot and it’s been a good season for pearlies. Weather unpredictable.
Beaches quiet apart from whiting and dart with a few salmon and the odd good tailor. A few school jew in the corners around Hastings Point and Cabarita.
