Mahi mahi, wahoo still around with the odd marlin but most blacks have gone south. The 24 and 36 fathom reefs the pick with a few yellowfin moving around as well. Squire and the odd good red in close, Fidos and Nine Mile. A few spots at Palm Beach and the odd Spanish but pretty quiet, really.
Beaches have a few nice tailor from Bilinga to Burleigh in the gutters there with fish to 2kg. Cabarita and Hastings Point have tailor to 2.5kg on lures and bonito. Worth a throw for jew if there’s some bait around the headlands. A few whiting in the gutters.
School flathead going well in the river and heaps of trevally around the mouth. Down near the light there have been some bigger trevs. A few big jacks with fish to 71cm this week and plenty of fish in the 50cm bracket, mostly on livies rather than lures.
