Weekly Report 16/03/05

Offshore: A few parrot, squire and medium ambers around the 340 fathoms reefs. No bait. The odd wahoo on lures and plenty of small yellowfin between the Nine Mile and the 30s. The odd Spaniard and a few better snapper on floaters and livies in closer.
Beaches have been pretty quiet apart from a few school jew down south. A few bream to a kilo off the South Wall. Have a throw off the rocks for a tailor.
Estuary: Some big trevally at the mouth with fish to 5kg falling to live herring and poppers. A couple of better bream at the bottom of the tide around the lower walls, water a bit discoloured. Whiting disappeared. Occasional school jew on the Cobaki Broadwater and behind Seagulls. Still mud crabs around with a few sandies in the boat harbour.
