Offshore: Still some marlin and yellowfin at the back of the Nine Mile. Mackerel pretty scratchy and the tide is screaming. In close for a few snapper, squire and the like around Fidos and Five Mile.
Palm beach has the odd spotty and Spaniard but they’re not sensational – maybe one or two a trip.
Estuary: A few trevally to 2.5kg down near the mouth, the odd flathead near the mouth and a few further up behind Seagulls and the top sandbanks, the golf club and similar but are thinning out. Bream thinning out a little but the odd mangrove jack to 2kg from bridges and rock walls. Cool snaps are thinning out the muddies.
Beaches: Most of the tailor are undersize around the Tweed with a few better ones around Kingscliff and Cabarita. The odd bream around the headlands and heaps of dart around Kingscliff.
