Offshore: Heaps of yellowfin from the five Mile out past the Nine Mile. The odd big king to 18kg on the outer edges of the Nine Mile, Mud Hole and across the Five Mile. The odd big snapper in close from Cook Island to the Five Mile. A heap of spangled emperor on the outside edge of Fidos. Mackerel almost non-existent.
Estuary: The river relatively quiet but some nice mud crabs and a few swimmers. Heaps of trevally around the mouth especially at night on the top of the tide. A few bream on the bottom of the tide if you put in the effort. Flathead upstream and a few bream around the rock walls. Jacks have gone a bit quiet.
Beaches, rocks: Heaps of dart in all the gutters from Cabarita up to North Kirra, where there are also a few good tailor schools. Also a few up at Burleigh headland and smatterings around Cabarita and Hastings.
