Some quality bream to a kilo or more showing up on the gravel patch near the Kennedy Drive boat ramp, Red Bass Avenue on the way to Seagulls and the Blue Hole would be worth a look, as would behind the hospital along the rock wall. A lot of little fellas around but some good ones. Lots of flatties with a heap behind the airport on plastics in the shallows. Some black fish behind the hospital and a few around the Boyds Bay bridge pylons. Still trevally around the mouth and the wreck opposite the hospital.
Offshore: Mostly just a few snapper and parrots on the Nine Mile and the Mud Hole. A cobia among them if you’re lucky. Winter kingies should be in soon.
Beaches: Tailor still patchy, choppers around the South Wall and a few better fish on the beach near Fingal headland. A scattering through Wommin Bay and Cabrita. Headlands best for better quality.
