Weekly Report 14/09/07

River: Mud crabs starting to go well in the river and sand crabs behind seagulls. Some good flathead turning up in the lower reaches, best spots behind the hospital, Fingal and Chinderah. Blackfish still going strong around Boyds Bay and all the other usual haunts.
Offshore: Still some snapper outside with some good fish on the 30-fathom reefs and squire in closer. The occasional knobby in close at places like the Mud Hole. The odd cobia and kingie but they’re patchy, as is the weather. Blowing a solid northerly today.
Beaches: Salmon on some of the beaches down around Hastings Point and Kingscliff. Not much in the way of whiting.
