Weekly Report 25/1/08

Bream around the rock walls with some decent ones among them. Some nice whiting around the sandbanks and up as far as the Piggery. Some school flathead on the banks as well on plastics but the’re not in big numbers. An occasional trevally and jack around the bridges. Mud crabs have slowed down in the big tides.
A lot of swell on the beaches but a few small chopper tailor at Palm beach and North Kirra. There should be a few tailor around the southern headlands as well.
Today (Fri) the first day the wind has backed off enough, not much caught at Palm Beach this morning with just a few mack tuna around. A few yellowfin on the Nine Mile when you can get out there through the bump.
