Sunshine after a week of rain showers. Tailor the main movers with gar and pillies working well, fish at Hastings Point, Cabarita, Black Rock – the further south you go, the better they get. Also a few at the mouth of the Tweed as the tide starts to rise, also a few big trevally at the mouth.
A few bream around the rock walls with some sea-run fish starting to move in to join the darker river bream. A couple of good lizards still hanging around, too.
Not many have been outside but those who have came home with plenty of snapper on most of the reefs. Mackerel tuna, wahoo and yellowfin with the odd Spaniard also around. A few spots on Palm Beach hanging with the bait schools and they’re also around Wooyung and Brunswick. Looks like a great winter ahead.
