Weekly Report 15/5/09

Post by Tony Zann » Fri May 15, 2009 12:41 pm

Beaches have tailor from Black Rock to Kingscliff. A few around Fingal Head but mostly choppers and some nice fish around the sand pumping jetty but donlt fish off it, some lads fined $350 the other night by police. Dart and bream in the gutters and the bait is working in close.
The river has a few nice bream around the mouth and along the walls with some smaller fish, also trevally and tailor moving in on the rising tide. Lizards form barneys Point to Tumbulgum with a few school jew as well.
Offshore start anywhere you want, bottom fish everywhere, Fidos to the 45s for spanglies, snapper, kings, pearlies, amberjack, all the southern grounds are excellent. Even a few rat yellowfin. Also the odd big wahoo including a couple getting smoked away busting lures and wrecking gear. Also tonnes of mackerel tuna.
