The river a little slow but the blackfish are chewing at most of the usual haunts, although the ones further up the creek are going quite well. Bream around the mouth, especially sea-run fish, with smaller ones in the river proper. The fish are patchy. Tailor and trevally on the rising tide. A few school lizards up on the flats behind Seagulls.
Beaches have some nice tailor around Cabarita, Hastings Point and Kingscliff with choppers to a kilo. Also a few at North Kirra and Palm Beach. A few bream in the rocky corners and some big blackfish on the North Wall at Kingscliff.
Plenty of snapper from Fidos out to the back of beyond. Pearl perch. A lot of trag in close for a nice change, especially around Kingscliff.
