17/3/06 Weekly Report

Post by Tony Zann » Fri Mar 17, 2006 3:35 pm

River: Crabs and whiting comprising most of the catches, all upstream around Tumbulgum and around Cobaki. Towards the mouth a few bream and the odd dart and whiting on the north side of the sea wall.
Beaches mostly pretty quiet but a nice class of tailor around Kingscliff to Cabarita. The odd school jew a little further south.
Offshore: Heaps of wahoo, the odd yellowfin and mack tuna but no Spanish mackerel. A few spots at Palm beach and a few nice snapper if you want to work for them. Small cobia also about every inshore reef or headland.
