Weekly Report 14/11/13

There are whiting and flathead in the river, with the whiting falling to worms and the flatties taking soft plastics, hardbodies and live herring. Some of the most successful soft plastics on flatties have been 3” Squidgies, Gulps and Z-Mans rigged on 1/4oz 3/0 jigheads.

Anglers are picking up the odd mangrove jack around the bridge pylons on livebait.

The beaches have been a bit quiet due to the wind, and locals are looking forward to getting into the whiting and chopper tailor closer to Christmas.

Offshore there are a few black king on the local reefs taking lures and livebaits, and the coming weeks should see more mackerel featuring in catches.
