Round the 36s anglers have been getting good pearlies and snapper. Fidos has been yielding good jewfish and snapper, and around Nine Mile a few Spanish mackerel are still getting caught.

At the mouth of the river there are good trevally and tailor being caught. You can also pick up jewfish around Barneys Point bridge and Tumbulgum bridge.

There are some big bream being caught around the mouth of the river near the hospital, and also from the Blue Hole. The Blue Hole is also a good place for luderick, as is the Boyds Bay bridge.

Some tailor have been coming from along Fingal Headland and the sand pumping jetty. A few tailor are also being taken off the south side of Kingscliff Wall.
