Report 13/11/14

Post by subeditor » Thu Nov 13, 2014 11:13 am

Starting in the esturaies, there’s still healthy numbers of flathead being taken around Fingal rock wall and behind the gold club. With them there have been some good catches of whiting, and these guys are also present around the anchorage and in the lakes.
Jewies have been showing in more consistent numbers around Barneys Point and Tumulgum bridges and amongst them area few jacks, which are really starting fish well in the river around the bridges.

On the beach front, the jewies have been making regular appearances on the south side of the Kingscliffe wall.
Some nice whiting have been filling anglers’ bags and the best catches have come form the Kingscliff Bowls Club area.

Outside, the snapper and pearlies are going strong around the 36 fathom mark and the
Kingies have been giving anglers’ arms a stretch on 9-mile and Fidos reefs.
