Report 27/11/14

Post by subeditor » Thu Nov 27, 2014 2:10 pm

In the estuaries, flathead have been firing in the Cobaki Lakes, along Fingal Strait, around Chinderrah and Tumbulgum Bridge.
In the same areas, jewies have been making regular appearances too with the added bonus of a few jacks, which are really starting to hot up as the weather warms.
Jewies have been taken along the south side of the Kingscliffe Wall and around mouth of the Tweed River, along with some trevally, which have been chasing bait early and late in the day.
Heaps of muddies have been taken in pots in the upper reaches of the river keeping the crabbers happy.

Along the beaches, dart are turning up behind Kingscliffe Bowls Club on pipis, yabbies and beachworm.

Outside, kingies have been taken at 9-mile reef and mahimahi have been providing anglers with some spectacular aerobatic displays around the 36-fathom mark, and pearlies have been keeping those wanting a feed happy.
