Report 29/1/15

Starting in the river, the mouth has produced its usual serve of yellowtail kingfish and tailor on plastics and metals, while the flatties have been on the chew around Chinderah and Cobaki lakes.
Healthy numbers of school jew have been taken around Barneys Point Bridge on live baits.
Muddies have been really active in the lower reaches of the river after all the rain we’ve been getting.

Along the beaches, dart have been filling anglers’ bags around Kingscliffe Beach with the odd flathead thrown in.
Jew are available along the South Kingscliffe wall on both live and dead bait.

Outside, Spanish mackerel have shown in better numbers around 9-mile and Fidos reefs. In the same area, big kingfish and jewies have been taken as by-catch.
