Report 9/4/15

Post by subeditor » Thu Apr 09, 2015 1:34 pm

Starting out wide, there’s been a good share of wahoo getting around 9-mile Reef.
At Fidos, anglers have been getting into some decent snapper on plastics and drifted baits.

Along the beaches, small tailor and dart are making up the bulk of the catch, but there’s been some great jewies taken on occasion along the rock walls.

In the river, the GTs and bug-eyes are going off around the bridges around the high tide. Fishing small lures such as surface lures or soft plastics an hour either side of the high around the bridges should see you hooked up.
For flathead lovers, there’s been a few smaller models getting around Jupiters Hole and the Piggery.
The jacks are still being taken around the rock walls around the mouth and bridge pylons on live baits and lures.
Down further, cloder to the mouth there’s been plenty of tailor taken baits and lures early and late in the day.
Down this way there’s also plenty of jewies coming in for those fishing around the rock walls with plastics and livies.
Up in the fresh, the bass are still firing and providing entertainment for those throwing small lures into snaggy territory.
