Report 23/7/15

Starting in the river, the usual yellowtail kings and tailor have been getting around at the mouth of the Tweed mouth, and cast lures are the way to get into a few.
Jewies are now a being taken very commonly around Barneys Point and Tumbulgum bridges on both lures and good live baits.
For the flatty lovers, Supercat and Cobaki Lakes hve been the hotspots for anglers flicking lures such as soft plastics and blade baits.
Bream are in great numbers behind the hospital and in around the Cotton Trees, and some fantastic specimens are being taken on the regular.

Along the beaches, jewies and tailor have been making regular appearances around the South Wall at Kingscliff, and for the tailor people, Fingal Wall and the South Tweed Wall have been producing great numbers of choppers.

Offshore, kingies to impressive sizes have been taken at Fidos and 9-mile along with a few jewies, but the main area for targeting jewies has been 5-mile.
Outwide, pearlies are dominating captures at the 36-fathom mark, making a great addition to the bag.
