Report 16/10/15

Starting offshore, there's been plenty of squire around the mud hole and at the back of Kingscliff. In the same area there's been plenty of cobia taking livies, with a few showing up at Point Reef as well.
The yellowfin are starting to come on around 24s and 36s, and thse fish are responding well to trolled lures.

Along the beaches, it's been fairy quiet, with the usual small flatties, dart and tailor getting around. There's plenty of fish, they're just all small.

In the river, flatties around Stotts Island, Condon and even up around Murwillumbah! Lures and baits have been working for the flathead.
Whiting are starting to show in good numbers in the middle to lower reaches of the river, with flooded sand flats on the high tide the best areas to target. Poppers, nipper and worms have all been taking plenty of whiting.
With the warming weather, mangrove jacks are coming on in a big way, and most of the bridges and rock walls are producing fish on lures and livies.
On the jewie front, there's not been much to report.
