Report 4/12/15

Post by subeditor » Fri Dec 04, 2015 3:04 pm

It's been windy windy windy offshore, and apart from a few spotties from Palm reef and some tuna at 9-mile, action has been very slow on the big blue.

The estuary has been flushing out the fresh in recent weeks, so the predatory fish like mangrove jacks and jew have been active, especially around the bridges at Cobaki and Barnys Point.
Whiting have been taken from the sand banks between Chinderah and Tumulgum, but the river fishing has been ticking along very slowly.

The beaches are probably worth leaving this week. Windy and dirty fresh water has coupled to make for some very bad beach fishing conditions.
