Report 12/2/16

Post by subeditor » Fri Feb 12, 2016 2:18 pm

Starting out wide, there's been a few good snapper reports coming in, with specimens to 6kg being recorded.
Around 9-mile reef, kingies have been very active, with some good fish taking live baits, with a few jewies showing up as well.
Spanish have been thick out the back of Kingscliffe reef and black rocks, and trollers and have been bagging out most sessions.

In the river, there's been plenty of action at the river mouth, with mulloway, juvenile kingfish and amberjack showing up periodically.
Bigeye trevally are still in great numbers around Boyds Bay and Barnys Pint bridges.
For those still wanting to nail some whiting, Blackwatch and Terrenora Lakes have been producing the goods for dedicated whiting anglers.
Jacks are still abundant around Tumbulgum and the sugermill at Condong, with lures and live baits both being successful.

The beaches have been fairly quiet, with only the odd dart and whiting showing up in anglers' catches.
