Outside at 9 mile there are a heap of kings taking surface lures, plastics and livies.

Out wider there have been a few black marlin on the 200m line.

Anglers have been getting some jew off Kingscliff Reef and snapper on the 32 fathom line .

In the river mouth it's the usual story – a few bigeye trevally and juvenile kings.

Earlier in the week there were a heap of mangrove jack caught at Barneys Point and Chinderah Work Wall but a bit of fresh has slowed them down a bit.

There were a few good flathead in Terranora Lakes before the sewerage leaked in. At the moment the public has been told not use the waterway or keep any fish from it.

There are some good tailor in the river mouth, up to 3-4kg, and mud crabs in the middle reaches.
