Report 17/11/17

Outside, everyone has been getting into the kingfish off Kingscliff Reef and Nine Mile recently. There's a heap of warmer water coming through so they have shut down slightly. We're waiting for the mackerel to come down.

In the river mouth there are a few school jew, and there are reports of tailor to 3kg off the south wall.

Good jacks are being taken on live bait at Boyds Bay Bridge. There have also been a heap of tarpon hanging around Cobaki Bridge.

The Tumbulgum area is fishing well for whiting on surface poppers.

There's a heap of mud crabs in the middle reaches, and the bass are going off up in the fresh.

The beaches are pretty quiet, with just a few tailor caught off Hastings and Fingal causeway.
