28/7/06 Weekly Report

Post by Tony Zann » Fri Jul 28, 2006 2:29 pm

Lousy weather, swell is up. It’s supposed to clear on Saturday so around the river mouth at the bottom of the tide for some nice bream on soft plastics or mullet and mullet gut. The odd tailor on ganged blue pillies around on the rising tide, no reports of trevally. Some nice flathead further up around the golf club and the back of the airport. The odd mud crab might be kicking around, people are starting to buy traps and mullet again. Just the odd feed of blackfish in what’s turning out as a fairly slow season. Try Kingscliff Creek for blackfish.
Offshore has been shut down by the weather.
Rocks, beaches: Try the corners of the headlands from the rocks or the beach for some decent bream and the odd school jew and tailor.
