Weekly Report 11/9/09

Bruce from Dave’s Bait Shop says there are a few decent flathead starting to bite in the lower reaches. The blackfish are starting to taper off although there are still a few about. Emigrant Creek and the main river upstream are best for bream and flathead. Mud crabs starting to show but they’re well upstream.
Seas are up but there has been the odd tailor on the beaches and decent jew from the walls and headlands.
Not many reports offshore but the wider grounds have been fishing better when there’s access.
I’ve been away for a week so I can’t really say much about Evans Head yet. Bar pretty ordinary early this morning, shallow with a break all the way across and a few boats turning back rather than risking it.
