Weekly Report 16/4/10

Bruce from Dave’s Bait Shop says there are still some nice flathead up to Pimlico Island along with the odd whiting. Quite a few school jew around the lower walls and the Town Reach up to about Pimlico. Mud crabs very good in North Creek and getting up in Emigrant Creek and the main river.
Plenty of good tailor around the beaches and headlands.
Spotted mackerel have gone berserk offshore with everyone getting their limit with the odd Spanish as well. Then everyone has gone wide, where there’s been the occasional good hit of snapper.
No idea what’s been happening at Evans but the ocean is looking great: Clean, clear and with a bit of bait working around. Bar is still shallow with occasional waves breaking across.
