Weekly Report 11/3/11

Bruce at Dave’s Bait Shop says there have been bream and flathead from Ballina through to Wardell and even the odd welcome whiting. But the main shakers and movers have been a lot of small school jew although there are some fish to 5kg mixed with the marginals. Quite a few mud crabs up North and Emigrant creeks.
The beaches have been OK for a whiting and a few flathead and there are more school jew around the walls.
Nobody has been outside much earlier in the week.
I haven’t been back home in Evans Head until today but the surf conditions look good for beach fishing and there are a few boats out. Swell is about 1.5m and the bar is reasonably OK. Water looks and feels good enough to hold mackerel.
