Weekly Report 15/4/11

Bruce says there’s a bit of colour in the river that’s pushed fish from Pimlico down. Mostly bream and flatties although a few whiting have come through as well. Mud crabs not too far up emigrant and North creeks.
Most of the beaches have been alright, good whiting some flatties and bream. Some tailor through the walls and bigger fish at night.
Good run of snapper yesterday at Riordans with fish to 6kg, most of the mackerel further south.
Pleasant autumn day at Evans Head with about 40 boats out braining the mackerel for about the fifth day in a row. Bar is, however, extremely shallow and even in low swell needs respect, especially on a falling tide most of the morning. Spotties down south with a few Spanish around the reefs, also snapper, jew and teraglin.
The beach has some bream and flathead with the odd nice whiting also starting to show. Some school jew around the rocks. Bream in the river with mostly small flathead.
