Squidgy at Ballina Bait and Tackle says the whiting have finally arrived at Pimlico with bloodworms the gun bait, as usual. Whiting in North Creek around the weed beds and flats and bream in the oysters. Bream are still down the lower end around the walls with some good fish among the little ones. Same goes for the flathead, with some heroes. Some big jacks in the river but the river has gone a bit chocolate after the last rain. Blackfish at Missingham and Prospect bridges. School jew also in the lower reaches. Bass still going well in the fresh.
Nothing much off the beaches apart from a few whiting and dart and very few boats have been offshore.
The Evans River has been producing a few nice whiting and the odd flathead and the bream have been smashing white pillies.
A few tailor at long last around the river mouth at low tide.
Plenty of trag outside when the wind backs off, along with a few snapper.
