Squidgy reckons they’re still getting good mackerel out at Black Head and Riordans is working as well. Talk of wahoo out on the 32s with snapper, trag and pearlies there also. Mahi mahi thick around the FAD.
Bream and flathead pretty good from the ferry down and in North Creek. Emigrant Creek and North Creek for crabs.
Whiting going pretty well on the northern beaches; dart, whiting and flathead around South Ballina.
Water at Evans is getting clearer and cleaner by the day and the bar’s not too bad. The southerly has kept most offshore fishos at home but the water quality looks good and Mick McGillivray’s charter boat headed out today.
Beaches have a few whiting and the odd school jew with good high tides shaping up for the weekend but not much beach to drive on at high water.
The river has bream, whiting and some good patches of flathead. A bit of colour still on the run out but entirely fishable.
