Brett says offshore will be out of the question over the weekend and the beaches a bit quiet as well, apart form a few flathead. Breakwalls have a few jewfish with schoolies above the ferry and in Emigrant Creek and at Wardell. The ferry to Wardell and Broadwater for the flathead, also some in North Creek up to the airport. Bream are scattered far and wide. A few whiting on the run-up tide and just a few mud crabs in North Creek, the main river and Emigrant. Still a few blackfish around but the hot weather had killed off a lot of the weed.
Not a great deal happening at Evans Head with the swell around 2m closing out the bar and not doing beach or rock fishos any favours.
There are some whiting from the bridge to a bit beyond the Iron Gates, along with a few flathead. More flathead from around the Black Hole up to the golf course. Crabbers up there should beware of the share farmers.
