Weekly Report 8/11/13

Post by Nicole Penfold » Fri Nov 08, 2013 1:13 pm

Poor weather has meant there haven’t been many opportunities to go offshore. However, those anglers who managed to get out have picked up snapper up to 9kg on the 32 fathom line, a few small mahi mahi around the FAD, and the odd kingfish out on the 48s.

The beaches have a bit quiet because of the rough conditions, with just the odd flathead and bream being caught in the last couple of days.

The break walls have served up some mulloway up to 14kg. Anglers have been picking up whiting on the run-up tide during the week, and some good flatties in the lower reaches.

There have been some good bass caught up around Coraki to Lismore. Most have fallen to spinnerbaits and hardbodies.

The mud crabs been a bit quiet, but hopefully we’ll get enough rain to help things along.
