Weekly Report 14/11/13

Post by Nicole Penfold » Thu Nov 14, 2013 3:29 pm

There have been some snapper on the 32 fathom line and a few small dolphinfish (mahi mahi) still hanging around the FAD.

Anglers are getting into bream, whiting and dart from the beaches. The odd school mulloway is around as well (just remember there’s a new minimum size limit of 70cm).

In the river, flathead and whiting have been coming from the mouth to Wardell Bridge.

There are crabs in the main river and the odd one in Emigrant Creek, although the average size has been a bit small.

There have been reports of a few mulloway coming from the deeper holes in the lower reaches at night.

There is good bass fishing from Coraki to Lismore, with most fish falling to spinnerbaits and hardbodied lures.
