Report 7/5/15

It's looking like the rain is with us until Monday or Tuesday, but at least the wind and swell will start to drop off by Sunday.

The river is very discolored once again from the rain, so the rocks, break walls and beaches will be the places to target once they are safe to fish. The mud crabs should be moving around over the weekend with the influx of water, so check out Emigrant Creek and the main river. Smelly and oily baits such as pilchards, mullet and chicken gut will be the best bet between the ferry and the mouth of the river.

The flood water will push a large number of fish towards the mouth of the river over the next week, so we should also see some jew from the break walls by about Wednesday with all the extra food for them in the lower reaches of the river.

Tight lines and stay safe over the weekend.
