Offshore has been really tough, thanks to a prolonged northerly that pushed in that cold current from the deep water. Hopefully the southerlies we're getting at the moment will bring good currents back in. It's very quiet on the mackerel front at the moment, but a few good snapper are being taken right in close.
In the rivers, the whiting have been really good on surface lures; they're actually one of our biggest sellers at the moment. There are a few bream and flatties around as well, but nothing to write home about. It's the whiting that have been the star of the show.
The bass have been going really well, smashing cicada imitations. There have been a lot of these insects around this year.
The trout been quite good up at Ebor, mostly rising to dry flies.
